about

Truth be told, I’ve never been much of a cat person. But when I met Jim’s cat, Maisy, I really did like her. In fact, I liked her so much I wrote a song about her. A few weeks later, we found out Maisy was sick and had to be put down. Even though we miss her now, she’ll live on forever through music. And that’s a pretty nice way to live.

lyrics

Maisy,
How'd you get so crazy?
Was it something they put in your drink?
I think you know the answer.

Maisy,
How's about a daisy?
Would you like one to put in your coat?
I hope you like the color.

Wandering late in the night while I am sleeping,
One eye I am keeping open for you.
Crawling about on your paws until you've found something,
Well you've found something in me.

Maisy,
How'd you get so crazy?
Was it something they put in your drink?
I think you know the answer.

Maisy,
How's about a daisy?
Would you like one to put in your coat?
I hope you like the color,
I like the color of you.
